Another Pride Month is upon us and here are some pawesome events happening in the local area! From one side of the world to another, there are many popular festivals and parades to attend throughout the month of June. Find some pride-themed gear and enjoy the day with your fur babies, family, and friends!
Outdoor Necessities:
- Collapsible water bowl & water
- Towel to wet and put on your dog if they get too hot
- Avoid walking on hot pavement if possible (heat protective booties are always great)
- Please be cautious when taking your dogs to events and festivals as certain dogs may thrive, others might find it overwhelming with the heat and crowd. Here are some ways to look out for signs of overheating and how to keep your pup cooler in hot weather.
Baltimore:
The Baltimore Pride Parade: Parade will kick off the day’s activities at 1pm!
- When: SATURDAY, JUNE 25TH @ 1:00 - 3:00 pm
- Where: Charles St. (map) - Route begins at North Charles and 33rd Street, passes Wyman Park and at N. Charles & 23rd Street, and culminates at the Block Party.

Annapolis Pride Parade & Festival: A day full of food, music, and drinks! Check out the amazing parade and hit the festival right after for a good time.

- Festival: June 4, 2022 from 12 pm to 5 pm

Richmond:
PRIDE of Carytown - A full day of Pride themed food, drinks, & activities for everypawdy!- through
Pride Run Richmond - Show your pride, and help support an excellent #IDEA – inclusion, diversity, equality, and acceptance for everyone. Run or walk The Diamond and through Richmond’s historic and picturesque neighborhoods.
Washington DC:
Pride Parade: In 2022, a modified route will honor the history and acknowledge the evolution of the LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in Washington, DC, while respecting the origins and importance of taking to the streets in the fight for equality.
- When: Saturday, June 11 from 3PM- 7:30PM
- Where: Logan & Dupont Circle Neighborhoods, Washington, DC (map)
- An announcement stand will be located at the start of the Parade route on 14th Street, just south of T Street, as well as on the southside of Dupont Circle.

Virginia Beach:
VA Pride in the VIBC: The Chesapeake Bay Distillery is teaming up with the Creative ViBe District to celebrate all things Pride in the community!
- When: June 12 @ 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Where: ViBe Park - 1810 Cypress Avenue Virginia Beach, Virginia (map)
- Live music, Chesapeake Bay Distillery drinks, food trucks, local Pride-loving artisans and vendors, lots of rainbows and even some surprises!
- All proceeds from the event will go to support local LGBTQ work, including the LGBT Life Center, Love is Love Tidewater, Hampton Roads Pride, and the Creative ViBe District!

Portsmouth:
Portsmouth Pride Fest - A Community Festival: Presented by the Portsmouth pride committee in beautiful Old Towne Portsmouth at Festival Park for a celebration of LOVE benefiting several non-profits in the area. Free Entry & Fun for the whole family!
