If you're a dachshund lover, you know that every day is a good day for a party, especially when your furry friends are involved. But why settle for an ordinary gathering when you can host the ultimate dachshund pool party? Picture this: a sparkling pool, playful floaties, tantalizing treat bars, and a BBQ that even your four-legged guests will appreciate. Add in some fun sprinklers and, of course, a whole lot of adorable dachshunds, and you've got the makings of an unforgettable celebration. Ready to dive in? Let’s break down how to throw the most paws-itively perfect pool party for your dashing dachshunds!
- Setting the Scene
First things first: your pool party needs a fantastic setup. We are so happy to have worked with Swimply, an online marketplace for hourly rentals of pools and backyards. With the pool booked it was time to decorate! We set up a few shady spots so the pups and their humans could take a break from the sun. Pair with a fun dachshund sprinkler and tons of floaties and we were ready to pawty!
- Pup-tastic Poolside Fun
The star of the show is, of course, the pool! The dog-friendly floaties were a hit and all the dachshunds looked adorable with their life jackets. While some dachshunds were natural swimmers, others preferred to watch from the sidelines or play on the grass. It was a great way to cool off from the heat and relax with all our furry friends.
- Treats - For Humans AND the Dogs!
What’s a party without some tasty treats? We pulled out all the stops for our treat bar, allowing our guests to make custom bags filled with treats for their pup later. No dog party would be complete without a Puppuccino bar. Using an adorable ice cream cooler, friends were able to make their own tasty treat for their friend! Making for some adorable licking-good content.
While the dachshunds are enjoying their treats, we made the humans are well-fed too! A BBQ with classic favorites like burgers, hot dogs, and classic BBQ kept everyone happy and full.
- The Perfect Send-Off
As the party began to wind down we had to take a group picture to memorize the most pawfect pawty ever! We can’t thank our DMV Ween Parents enough for attending and making it such a memorable event! We cannot wait till next summer to hopefully host again!
