Sassy Woof had the pleasure in May to attend and sponsor the SoCal Wiener Festival in Huntington Beach, California. We took our boss babe, Maya, and headed out West where she got to be in her beach element! It was the first festival in two years, due to the pandemic, so a lot of people came out to celebrate their little friends. The supaw fun dog event was created to bring dachshund lovers from all over the country into one place. Their goal is to celebrate the love for dachshunds, promote rescues and adoption of local pups, and to raise awareness about IVDD. The event was filled with different vendors, food trucks, raffle prizes, races, and contests for best dressed and the longest wiener dogs!
We set our tent up, bright and early, on Saturday morning to prepare ourselves for all the dachshunds and dogs that were joining us! Our tables were filled with different harnesses, collars, leashes, and more for customers to shop. The newest collection of “Doxie Delight” also made a debut on the West Coast and was a huge hit! The staff ensured that the puppies that visited us got puppacinos and so much love. We had a photo station for the dogs that were created by the wonderful Wonderland Picnics in SoCal California. They had a little teepee surrounded by balloons in dreamy, pastel colors for everyone to create memories in front of.
Not only did we see many of our own West Coast Ambassadors, but we had the opportunity to meet so many people that were representing their Sassy Woof harnesses and spirit! We thank everyone that came out to support us as this wouldn’t have been possible without all the love, we get from our Sassy Woof Community. A big shout out to Katrina, Allison, and Dani! They were super sweet and such amazing hosts, welcomed everyone and every pup that came to the festival! Keep an eye out on their website for next year's event!
We are so excited for next year’s event as our team left California with heart-warming memories and new friends.
